ZumbaCards Verification & KYC

What Veriff accepts, why first attempts fail, and why you should verify before you have a balance waiting.

Identity verification is the gate between a Surprise Coins balance and money in your bank account. It runs through Veriff, a third-party provider, and it is where first withdrawals most often stall.

Do it early

The single most useful thing in this guide: verify before you have a balance waiting, not after you request a withdrawal.

Verification is one-off and permanent. Doing it on day one costs you five minutes while nothing is at stake. Doing it when a payout is pending means a failed attempt adds days to money you are already waiting on, which is when people make the mistakes below.

What you need

  • A physical government-issued photo ID — driver’s licence, state ID or passport.
  • A device with a camera. Phone is easiest.
  • A few minutes somewhere reasonably well lit.
The ZumbaCards verification requirements: at least twenty-one years old, physical documents only and not screenshots or previously taken photos, no second account, and no service to Washington or Nevada.
All four requirements, as the platform states them. The second line is the one that fails most first attempts. · Screenshot of play.zumbacards.com, October 9, 2026

Why checks fail

Almost every failure is one of these:

A screenshot or a photo of a screen. This is the big one. Veriff requires a live capture of a physical document. A photograph of your licence already saved in your camera roll, a scan, a PDF or an image on another screen will be rejected. Hold the actual card in front of the camera.

Glare or a cropped edge. All four corners of the document must be in frame and readable. Move away from direct overhead light — matte, even lighting works better than bright.

Name mismatch. The name on your ZumbaCards account must match the document exactly. A nickname, a maiden name or a missing middle initial will fail. Fix the account details before you submit, not after.

Expired document. Check the date before you start.

A second account. One account per person. Where two accounts share a device, address or payment method, verification is where that surfaces — and the outcome is closure, not a warning.

What happens after

Once verified, the check is permanent and you will not repeat it. You can then request redemptions subject to the usual gates:

  • Playthrough cleared — 1× on purchased Surprise Coins, 5× on bonus coins.
  • Minimum 100 SC, redeemed at 1 SC = $1.
  • One withdrawal per 72 hours.
  • ACH bank transfer or debit card push-to-card. PayPal and Venmo appear in some third-party write-ups but are not confirmed by the platform.

Payouts typically take 2–5 business days, with some reports of longer. Slow redemptions, refused payouts and accounts locked after a large win are the three recurring themes in the platform’s Trustpilot reviews, which sit at 3.9 out of 5 from 161 reviews with 12% at one star. If verification fails repeatedly

Contact support through live chat inside the platform, or email support@zumbacards.com. Ask specifically which field failed — the generic rejection message does not say, and support can see it.

Put it in writing by email rather than only in chat, and keep the reply. There is no gaming regulator behind this platform, so support is the final escalation step and a written record is the only leverage you have. More on that here.

Privacy

Documents go to Veriff, not to ZumbaCards directly, under Veriff’s own data policy. This is standard for the industry and is the same provider used by a number of licensed operators. It is also one of the stronger signals in the platform’s favour: an operation that intends not to pay does not usually build a real KYC gate. The full legitimacy case.
